Nick & Alison's Heidelberg Wedding
Heidelberg Wedding Photographer
A destination wedding in Heidelberg, Germany
There are few things I adore more than when a couple chooses to celebrate their love story in their own unique way, so when Alison and Nick shared their idea of having an intimate wedding Heidelberg, Germany, I truly couldn't have been more excited for them!
Though Nick and Alison still live in the USA, Alison's childhood was steeped in the charm of Heidelberg. Can you even imagine?! As a young girl, she visited her extended family who were based in Germany, so it's always been an extra-special place in her heart. As we talked, she recounted memories of visiting her favorite bakery, strolling to the Heidelberg Schloss with her auntie, and wandering through streets lined with colorful buildings and cobblestones.
Having already celebrated their wedding in the USA, Nick and Alison dreamed of an intimate celebration in Germany to honor her heritage and reconnect with her roots. When they asked me to be their Heidelberg wedding photographer to document such a special day for them, I was beyond delighted.
The day was infused with soo much meaning—from the florals Alison curated for her bouquet to the wedding rings they crafted in Iceland, symbolizing their adventures together. A small handmade bracelet even found its way into the detail shots, each element uniquely *Alison and Nick*.
We began our journey at their romantic boutique hotel, the House of Hutter, which offered a breathtaking view of the Nektar River. Our day unfolded with visits to Alison's beloved childhood haunts, including the iconic Alte Brücke and the enchanting Schloss Heidelberg and its gardens. It really was such a special day!
