An adventurous engagement in Heidelberg

Jeanette & Kenny's Intimate Winter Engagement photoshoot in Heidelberg was a wintery dream come true. It was such a dang joy to be their Germany Engagement Photographer and to share the day with such kind-hearted souls!!

We started off by going to the ruins of the Heidelberg castle, the landmark of Heidelberg itself. We laughed (and froze) our butts off while we strolled through the romantic cobblestone streets admiring the ancient architecture. Meanwhile, I played the very serious role of being their own personal cheerleader, ohhing-and ahh-ing over these cuties!! (If you keep scrolling for the gallery, you'll see why!) After our last stop of the session at the iconic Old Bridge, we ended the day with our hearts full of love and tummies filled with pizza from a Italian pizzeria where kind Kosovan men gifted us each lemoncello to celebrate Jeanette and Kenny's engagement!

"Johanna was such a blessing to us!! She is such a genuine, warm and joyful person to be with, even from the beginning when we first approached her and spoke to her via Zoom - miles away from her on the other side of the world. Johanna also discussed with us potential shoot locations, gave us ideas/guides on our outfits for the shoot and even went out of the way to help us in our travel planning (unrelated to the shoot!)!! (': Her infectious personality and professionalism made us determined to align our travel schedules with hers so that we could meet in Heidelberg, Germany for our pre-wedding photoshoot, and we are so so glad we made it work!! Our photoshoot session in Heidelberg was nothing short of fun; she made us so comfortable in front of the camera (she is not only the best photographer but our best cheerleader/hype-girl), had a keen eye for beautiful spots to shoot at and gave us directions/ideas when we needed them. And of course, the photos turned out sooo beautiful The photos captured all the fun and laughter we had during the shoot and our quirks and personalities; they make us smile every time we see them (alot of times)!! Thank you Johanna, for everything!! We will definitely recommend her to everyone, and will definitely reach out to her again if we are in Europe!"

Engagement Sessions

There are no rules on when, how, or where to take your enagement photos - so think about what makes sense for you! What resembles you two and your relationship best? Maybe that means taking them in your kitchen making your favorite banana pancake recipe, biking to your favorite coffee shop, or maybe just maybe that means taking them on your roadtrip in another country like Jeanette and Kenny.

So remember, your engagement and wedding is yours to create any way, shape, or form you want it to look and feel like. As for these two, I can't even express how much I love that Jeanette and Kenny created their very own adventure-filled photoshoot as a way to remember the roadtrip they embarked on on the other side of the globe.
