I'm Johanna
it's so lovely to meet you!
I'm Johanna, Mexican-American, based just up the road in Nuremberg! You've got a little bit of everything here in Munich - sprawling gardens, a fun mix between mega fashionistas and centuries-old tradition, beer gardens, neighbourhoods filled with adorable coffee shops, and grand architecture in the city center. There's a little bit of everything for everyone, and that's why it's such a special spot for a photoshoot.
I've been living in Europe for the past 9 years. Deeply passionate about life and humanity. Wishes I had a dog. Fascinated with belonging. To me, photography is all about genuine connection. It’s so much more than pretty photos, it’s about loving others, and allowing them the space to get silly, let loose - to give space to the wonderful humans that step in front of my camera to be completely seen and celebrated exactly as they are, and to come together to make magic out of life!!

between the English gardens (great if you want greenery, movement, and a more relaxed feeling), Hofgarten (better for something elegant and architectural), Nymphenburg Palace (especially beautiful if you want grand architecture and a more classic European feel), and other locations, every place has its own charm! "Johanna was such a blessing to us! She is such a genuine, warm and joyful person to be with, even from the beginning when we first approached her and spoke to her via Zoom - miles away from her on the other side of the world. Johanna also discussed with us potential shoot locations, gave us ideas/guides on our outfits for the shoot and even went out of the way to help us in our travel planning (unrelated to the shoot!) Our photoshoot session in Heidelberg was nothing short of fun; she made us so comfortable in front of the camera (she is not only the best photographer but our best cheerleader/hype-girl), had a keen eye for beautiful spots to shoot at and gave us directions/ideas when we needed them. And of course, the photos turned out soo beautiful! The photos captured all the fun and laughter we had during the shoot and our quirks and personalities; they make us smile every time we see them!
